Feather’s Private Yoga 1:1 sessions are designed especially for you, a lovely way to deepen your practice or introduce yourself to yoga for the first time. Specific poses + modifications suited to what your body is needing now, with the tools to help manage anxiety, depression, stress, improve sleep habits, build confidence or healing of an injury. After listening to what your Yoga interests may be, Feather will focus on guiding you to achieve your personal needs and goals. Together working through any challenges you may want to address, learn modifications to asanas (poses) or discovering other Holistic tools you may be interested in. Feather incorporates Hatha yoga infused with Meditation, Ayurvedic Wisdom, Mudras, Chakra healing, connection to Nature & Forest Bathing to create a sacred space to guide your body and mind towards a harmonious blalance. We also offer sessions via Zoom to accomodate your busy schedule.

Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is a wonderful option for people living with trauma, chronic pain, anxiety or grief. Focuses on addressing physical, mental and emotional conditions. By specifically tailoring a blend of Holistic tools and practices like meditation, Pranayam (Breathwork), mudras and more Feather can help address specific health conditions, she feels an immense honor to have been able to train at the legendary Kripalu for her C-IAYT (Yoga Therapist) Training where she specialized in Ayurveda. Feather was among the first graduating class of IYT Yoga Therapist Training at Kripalu. Applying Ayurvedic wisdom into each of her services is a gift she loves to share with her clients. Ayurvedic Massage & Bodywork Specialist
Shirodhara - Balances the Nervous System and the brain, warm herbal oil is gently streamed onto the forehead. Aids in releasing deep-seated emotions and trauma. Calms and soothes the Nervous System, enhances blood circulation to the brain, releases tension and stress. Stills the mind, making it lovely for balancing Vata dosha. Beneficial for all stress, particularly mental stress, insomnia, anxiety, chronic headaches, nervousness and PTSD.

Marma Chikitsa - Marma points are vital energy points which are used for calming the mind, pain relief, balancing emotions, detoxification, rejuvenation, preventative care, organ dysfunction and balancing the doshas. They are related to the Chakra and Nadi Systems. Tension and negative emotions are held there. Science of marmani was developed in Vedic times in ancient India.

Pinda Swedana - A wonderful therapy where a poultice is soaked in medicated oil and used for heat therapy. Aids in pain relief, swelling, stiffness and improves circulation. Helps relieve musculoskeletal dysfunction and pain. Increases blood circulation, improves memory and strengthens immunity while also improving the functioning of the joints. Beneficial for body pain, back strengthening and improving functioning of the joints.

Basti Oil Treatments - Basti treatments are warm herbal oil applications good for circulation, rejuvenation and nourishing of muscles, joints, organs, bones and tendons. Good to support musculoskeletal problems. We offer 3 types of Basti, which are listed below.
Kati Basti - Warm, herbal oil is bathed over the lower lumbar region and held in place by a well made of dough. Promotes circulation while also reducing inflammation and pain. Excellent for reducing Vata dosha. Deeply nourishing to the spine, alleviates stress, relaxes body/mind and helpful for chronic back problems. Also helpful for Sciatica, thoracic pain, as well as kidney and adrenal fatigue issues.

Hridaya Basti - A nurturing treatment for the heart. Warm herbal oil bathes the center of your chest, around the heart chakra and held in place by a well made of dough. Effective for cardiac health, improving circulation and respiration. Aids in releasing deep-seated emotions and trauma. Relieves grief and anger while infusing an overall sense of peace and joy.

Janu Basti - Warm herbal oil application provides an oil bath on the knees which lubricates the knee joint. The oil is held in place by a well made of dough. Reduces stiffness and pain which helps improve moibility. Useful for chronic knee joints pain like osteoarthritis and osteopeorosis.

Pranayama can have a calming effect on our nervous system, making it a wonderful option for reducing anxiety, insomnia, depression and overall stress.
